Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles Gets a Glow Up

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles Gets a Major Upgrade

In Los Angeles, we don’t usually talk about when someone’s had “work done.”

But I’m going to make an exception.

Because Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles got a major glow-up in 2025.

Celebrating 30 Years

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the park underwent a multi-million-dollar refurbishment.

And honestly?

She looks good.

What’s New

The upgrades include:

  • Fresh paint and updated theming
    Resurfaced slides for smoother rides
    New landscaping
    More seating and lounge chairs
    Way more shade and canopies

There are also improved restrooms and changing areas.

And something I love seeing at parks now: water bottle refill stations everywhere.

New Cabana Experience

One of the biggest upgrades is the new cabanas.

The older cabanas were fairly simple metal structures, but the new ones feel like a true upgrade.

I was lucky enough to try one for the day, and it included:

  • Comfortable seating
    A safe
    Bottled water
    Music
    Attendant service checking in

It’s definitely a great way to level up your visit.

A Tip for Passholders

If you’re a Six Flags passholder, check your benefits.

Many memberships include cabana discounts, which can make the experience much more affordable.

Final Thoughts

If you haven’t visited Hurricane Harbor in a while, this might be the summer to check it out.

The upgrades really make the park feel refreshed — and it’s a great way to cool off after riding coasters next door at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
