I've had the chance to visit Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, FL, three times now, and I can confidently say this park is incredible.
If you’re planning a visit, here are my top tips to help you maximize your day — without spoiling the experience.
Start Your Day at Mine-Cart Madness
At rope drop, head straight to Mine-Cart Madness in Super Nintendo World.
While other attractions might be the biggest headliners, this ride loads only four riders per vehicle, which naturally makes the line move slower.
If it’s on your must-do list, it’s best to ride it first.
Bring a Bag
One thing that surprised me is how bag-friendly the park is.
Most attractions allow you to bring your bag on the ride.
For rides that don’t, there are free lockers available.
I recommend packing:
- Sunscreen
A poncho or rain jacket
An empty water bottle
Use the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines for Water
Throughout the park, you’ll find Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.
These machines provide free cold filtered water, which is a great alternative to waiting in line for a cup of water.
Just fill your bottle and keep exploring.
Don’t Skip the Shows
Two shows in particular are absolutely worth planning your day around:
- The Untrainable Dragon in Isle of Berk
- Le Cirque Arcanus in the Wizarding World
Both are among the best theme park shows I’ve ever seen.
Arrive early to ensure you get a seat.
Stay Until Nightfall
One of the biggest surprises for me was how stunning the park looks at night.
The lighting design throughout Epic Universe is beautiful.
Attractions like Stardust Racers and the Constellation Carousel look completely different after dark.
Watch the Reel from my first trip
Final Thoughts
Epic Universe is one of the most impressive theme parks I’ve ever visited.
If you’re planning a trip, my biggest advice is simple:
Stay all day — and stay late.
