Today, Six Flags Magic Mountain is known for its Looney Tunes and DC Comics characters, but for a brief period in the park’s early history, the mascots were something… a little stranger.
They were called the Magic Mountain Trolls.
The Early Magic Mountain Characters
When Magic Mountain opened in 1971, the park briefly used Looney Tunes characters under license.
But that licensing agreement didn’t last long. By 1972, the park decided to create its own original characters instead.
Enter the trolls.
Meet the Magic Mountain Trolls
The characters included:
- Bloop
- Bleep
- King Troll (also known as King Blop)
- The Wizard
The trolls appeared throughout the park on merchandise, signage, and promotions.
There was even a Troll Patrol Club that kids could join.
When the Trolls Disappeared
The trolls actually survived the park’s 1979 transition into the Six Flags chain.
But by 1985, Six Flags secured a long-term deal with Warner Bros., bringing the Looney Tunes characters back as the official mascots across their parks.
With that change, the trolls disappeared from Magic Mountain.
Well… almost all of them.
The Last Troll Still in the Park
One final troll reference remains today.
If you visit Jammin’ Bumpers, check the exit sign. You’ll spot Bleep riding the bumper cars, a tiny piece of Magic Mountain history still hiding in plain sight.

Final Thoughts
Theme parks evolve constantly, and sometimes entire characters disappear from memory. But the Magic Mountain trolls remain one of the park’s most fascinating forgotten chapters.
